In Step With DC
A New Series for In Step With DC: Getting to Know You!
Today we are starting a new series of blogs that will help you get to know your DC Teachers and Staff better as we get closer to recital. Today’s featured teacher is Miss Molly!
In her free time Miss Molly loves to catch up on her recorded TV shows (she loves reality TV!) and spending time with her boyfriend, Johnny.
She has 4 kitties who wait at home for her: Maddie, Abby, Zoe and Lucy.
Miss Molly’s favorite song that she has danced to is the Lion King recital opening and her favorite song that she has choreographed to is Valerie by Amy Winehouse. The most challenging step she learned was the double pull back in Tap.
Miss Molly chose to work at Dance Connection “because everyone that works there is genuine and shares the same passion as me. The love of dance and teaching. Also, the foundation and principals of what Dance Connection is built on are ones that I would want my own child to learn from. We build relationships and there is a family friendly atmosphere that is present within our studio.”
Miss Molly’s Favorites:
Movie: She has 2: 10 Things I Hate About You and Dirty Dancing
Inspirational Quote: “Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.” ~Martha Graham
Comfort Food: Sweet & Sour Candy, Sour Patch Watermelons, Airheads, Twizzlers, Skittles
Favorite Time of Year at Dance Connection: Halloween
The best advice that Miss Molly has for our DC Students is: Remember small progress is big progress 🙂 Let your passion and love of dance shine through always.
