Building Connections is a welcoming, drop-in inclusive dance and movement experience designed for dancers of all abilities. Each 45-minute class includes 30 minutes of engaging movement activities that build coordination, rhythm, confidence, and creative expression, followed by 15 minutes of guided socialization and imaginative play to encourage connection and friendship. Parents, caregivers, or a trusted support person are invited to participate alongside their dancer, creating a supportive and collaborative environment where every student feels comfortable, celebrated, and empowered.

Liz Camera is an Elementary Special Education Teacher at Eastern Suffolk BOCES, where she creates supportive, engaging, and individualized learning experiences for diverse learners. She holds a Master’s in Education and is passionate about helping every child build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. With 17 years of dance experience and a background in tap, contemporary, and jazz, Liz is excited to combine her expertise in special education with her love of movement to create a welcoming and empowering environment for every dancer.
Each Building Connections class is just $20 per dancer. It’s a pay-as-you-go class, making it easy to try out without a long-term commitment.

There’s no specific dress code! Children should wear comfortable clothes they can move in and sneakers. If your child already has a dance outfit or ballet slippers, they’re welcome to wear those too.
Yes! Building Connections is designed as a shared experience for students and their trusted caregivers. Parents or a trusted support person are invited to participate alongside their dancer.

Physical Accessibility
- Ground-level entrance with nearby ADA parking
- Smooth transitions into classrooms with small (approximately 1") ramps to the dance floors
- Wide lobby space with room for mobility devices
- Private, single-user ADA-compliant restrooms with proper turning radius and grab bars
- Baby changing table available
Comfort & Sensory Considerations
- Music volume is adjustable based on the needs of the class
- Spacious lobby area where dancers are welcome to take movement or sensory breaks as needed
- Flexible participation — students may step out and rejoin class at their comfort level

- Remote live stream app allows additional family members or caregivers to observe from home
