Hip hop classes are available for dancers ages 9 and up, with options for beginners through advanced levels. Dancers age 7-8 are invited to take Beginner Ballet & Jazz/Hip Hop.
Nope! Our hip hop classes are open to dancers of all experience levels. Whether you’re just starting or looking to level up your skills, we have a class that fits.
Dancers in hip hop class will develop:
Musicality and rhythm
Freestyle skills and confidence
Hip hop choreography and technique
Coordination and body control
Personal style and stage presence
Each class features a mix of warm-ups, drills, choreography, and time to explore freestyle movement.
Students may wear leotard and tights and/or a t-shirt and dance/athletic pants or shorts. Class-only sneakers are needed for this class that are only worn inside the studio.
Yes! Hip Hop dancers have the exciting option to participate in our annual June recital. It’s a fun and confidence-building experience, but completely optional. Costumes are ordered in December, and recital tickets go on sale in May. Whether or not your child performs, they’ll still enjoy a full season of joyful movement and learning.
