We’d like to congratulate Miss Lilly on her promotion to Substitute Teacher in the Teacher Training Program!

The Teacher Training Program is a forum for students to gain training in teaching as well as job responsibility. Enrollment in our Teacher Training Program will provide members with the highest standard of mentoring and guidance. Dance Connection is strongly committed to enriching and nourishing the future teachers and citizens of our community. Regardless of your future career path, Dance Connection feels confident that all members of the Teacher Training Program will leave our program having learned the important life skills of: respect, responsibility, accountability, discipline, confidence, and professionalism.

Miss Lilly has been a student at DC for 7 years! Now in the 11th grade, Lilly is not only a fantastic dancer, but is also the Vice President of her class, and a member of the East Islip High School Kickline.

Miss Lilly competed for 3 years with the Dance Connection Performance Company, and continues to study Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, an Contemporary styles of Dance, as well as being a member of our Recital Company and performing in our Step Into Christmas benefit show. I asked what her reaction was when she found out about being promoted to Substitute Teacher.

“I was surprised and so excited! I really looked forward to being in a classroom full of students on my own. I’m hoping to keep moving up to become a teacher on our staff, which will definitely help prepare me for my college studies. I’ll be studying Elementary Education. “, Lilly Scholl, Substitute Teacher.

Miss Lilly’s promotion was happy news to deliver as well according to Miss Mary.

“It was an easy decision for Miss Lilly to be promoted. Lilly excels in every aspect of her work in the Teacher Training Program, and has become a wonderful teacher. Being a Substitute Teacher will give her an opportunity to share her knowledge of and passion for dance an inspire the next generation of Dance Connection dancers.” – Mary Naftal, President & Artistic Director

We are sure that Miss Lilly will be a fantastic Substitute Teacher and we are so proud of her!
