Dance Beyond the Recital…
Written by Erin Sforza on July 14, 2017

Now that the dust has settled and the lights have dimmed it can seem that dance will step aside for the summer, but it certainly doesn’t have to. There are tons of opportunities to keep “in step” with your dance training over the summer, many of them right here at Dance Connection!

You can take any number classes to keep yourself in dance shape whether you are one of our Pre-School students who benefits by taking a four-week class to ready themselves for the upcoming school and dance year and give their summer a little bit of structure, or one of our older students looking to make some extra progress before September classes begin, there is a class for you here.

Outside of our own “Broadway Bound” Camp, you can also take your dance skills to any number of local theaters or town performance camps. You’ll expand your experience on stage and learn valuable skills that will help you to communicate through movement, and if you’d like, through song and acting as well!

Don’t forget all of the fantastic opportunities to attend performances all over the New York area where you can discover a new style of dance or be inspired by one that is already your favorite. The New Yorker has a great resource to find out about upcoming performances, and you can check them out by clicking here.

No matter how you decide to make dance a part of your summer, we hope you enjoy every minute of it, and we look forward to seeing all of you in September!
