Dance Connection Launches Penny Prima™ Brand

ISLIP, New York – Dance Connection in Islip, NY launches new Penny Prima™ brand of direct-to-consumer products and licensed studio programs.  The principal product is the Penny Prima Starter Box including a storybook, Penny Prima: Almost Ballerina, art supplies, craft activities, souvenir cup, a Penny Prima lanyard, backstage pass, adventure log, special sticker, and access to online video content to learn dance steps, choreography, and complete crafts with Penny Prima herself.

In the coming months, Penny Prima will be launching additional expansion packs meeting new character friends and exploring new dance styles as well as themed camps and classes based on the Penny Prima character and stories.

In the flagship storybook, Penny Prima: An Almost Ballerina, Penny practices foundational ballet steps such as plié, tendu, elevé, bourrée, sauté, chassé, and arabesque.  While unable to attain her final turn, she creates her own costume, props, and backdrop – as these must be the thing she’s missing to be a great dancer.  In the end, she learns that it was the hard work and practice all along that got her to nail the turn at the end of her recital dance!

Dance Connection’s Mary Naftal is the President/Founder of Penny Prima™, while Joe Naftal leads the new brand as Chief Executive Officer.  Victoria Flick and Laura Scheving serve as Creative Director and Art Director respectively.
