Edge Regionals 2021 Results

Competition Results

The Dance Connection Performance Company competed at their first regional competition of the 2021 season last weekend.  The company attended Edge Talent Competition in Flanders, NJ, which marked their first competition since 2019 after last season’s in-person competitions were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Nyomi Jurado won the title of Teen Miss Edge with her solo, I Feel Good, which also won the overall high score. Samantha Gut’s solo, Move Your Body, won 9th place overall; Allison Bradley’s solo, Black and Gold, won 8th place overall; One in the Same, a duo with Amelia Boschen and Jessalyn Sainton, won 4th place overall; and Trainwreck, a duo with Allison Bradley and Nyomi Jurado, won 3rd place overall. Tell Me Something I Don’t Know won 1st place overall, Snapshot won 3rd place overall, Boogie Shoes won 2nd place overall, Off Their Rockers won 7th place overall, Black Car won 5th place overall, Come on Everybody won 2nd place overall, Matilda won 1st place overall, and All Shook Up won 5th place overall.

Allison Bradley, Nyomi Jurado, Samantha Gut, and Lilly Scholl each received Performance Team invites for the Edge Nationals.

Matilda won the Entertainment Award. Eternal Thirst won the Costume Award. Black Car and Matilda were the 2nd and 1st runner ups for the highest scoring routine of the weekend, respectively.
