Joe has been involved in Dance Connection in various ways throughout his entire life! In the early years it was taking dance classes and anxiously looking forward to being the “announcer” of the recital each year. Today, Joe is responsible for overseeing a large variety of the company’s operations in a dual role as the studio’s Marketing Director and Production Manager. When not working at Dance Connection, Joe has a career as a theatrical lighting designer, assistant designer, and production manager. His experience spans the worlds of classical and contemporary theatre, musicals, ballet, modern dance, and opera.  In addition to his work at Dance Connection, Joe wrote a book on Recital Production that has been published in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, and serves as the CEO for the Penny Prima™ brand of products and licensed programs. He has taught seminars for dance studio owners from across the world as a member of the DanceStudioOwner.com Panel of Experts and as a faculty member at Dance Teacher Summit in New York City, the Energize Conference in Chicago, and for the UDMA Dance Teacher Expos in New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Atlanta, and has been featured several times in the business section of Dance Teacher Magazine.  He serves on the Board of Directors of CM Performing Arts Center y Robin Becker Dance.  Joe holds a BFA from UNC School of the Arts and is a proud member of United Scenic Artists (USA829) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
