Today we are featuring Miss Melinda in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

Why do you love teaching dance? I love teaching dance because I love helping students fall in love with the art of dance.  I love it when a student is able to master a new step that they have been working on, or when a young dancer is just so happy to be in class and is full of smiles.

What is an accomplishment you’re most proud of? My greatest accomplishment is my family, I am so proud of my children and love the life my husband and I have created together. 

Who is your hero and why? My mom would be my hero. She was a single mom of 4 who raised us all with love. She always put us first and we had a great childhood.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would definitely be italian, probably either chicken parmigiana or shrimp parmigiana.  Ice cream would be a close second.

What do you do in your spare time? In my spare time I spend it with my husband Lou and children (Miss Emily and Matthew).  We are a very close family and enjoy doing things together. 

What’s your favorite vacation spot? My favorite vacation spot is Walt Disney World.  I can’t wait until things go back to normal and I can take a trip down there to see Mickey.
