Getting to Know You: Miss Melissa!
Written by Joe Naftal on November 8, 2019

Today we are featuring Miss Melissa in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

Why do you love teaching at Dance Connection? I love teaching at Dance Connection because I just love teaching dance. I adore my dancers and love watching them learn and grow throughout the dance year.

What’s the best way for dancers to approach your class?   The best way for dancers to approach my class is with a positive attitude. We have a lot of fun and laughs in class while learning the dance curriculum.

What’s the best way for parents to support their dancers?  The best way for parents to support their dancers is to encourage their children outside of the dance room. Parents should keep an open line of communication with the teacher and reinforce concepts learned in class.

What do you do in your spare time? My husband and I have 3 small children, so my spare time is spent with my family. We like going to the playground, going for walks, or going to the library.

What’s your go-to coffee order? My go-to coffee order is a Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks.

What’s your favorite vacation spot? My last few vacations have to been to Sesame Place. That’s a great family spot for young children and we love it there!

What’s your favorite local restaurant? My favorite local restaurant is Applebee’s.
