Getting to Know You: Miss Molly!
Written by Joe Naftal on October 19, 2018

Today we are featuring Miss Molly in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

What is your hometown? Sayville

What’s the story of how you became a dancer?  My mom put me in Dance as a toddler and I was hooked! Years of dancing, competing and loving how dance made me feel, I knew I wanted to continue my journey. I wanted to give back what I had been so fortunate to be apart of and experience.

What impact has dance had on your life? It’s given me confidence, a place where I belong, a second home, life long friendships, a safe environment to grow up in and a love for the art!

Why did you start teaching dance? Going through years  of the teacher training program I had found a love for teaching students and helping them grow in class. My teachers helped me grow into the teacher I am today.

What are you passionate about outside dance? Staying in touch with my friends, spending time with my family and fiancé. Im also an independent stylist for Color Street!

What question do you wish students would ask sooner rather than later? I wish they would say if they were confused, So that they have more time of doing something successfully instead of poorly.

In your opinion, what makes dance such a great activity and art form? It lets you be you and let’s you create In all different ways. It’s a way of expression and a great outlet to feel apart of something that you love.

College and Major? Business at Suffolk Community College.

Favorite Color? Lime Green

Favorite Dance Movie? Dirty Dancing and Center Stage

Secret Talent? Making people laugh 😀
