Today we are featuring Mr. Joe in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

• What is the best part about working at Dance Connection? I love getting to be a part of making dance magic happen for so many students each week.  Serving on the studio’s management team means that I often work during the daytime and through holiday breaks, and there is a marked difference in the energy of the studio as soon as it’s filled with all of our students and dance families.

• What’s the most daring thing you’ve done? In retrospect, it was not very daring, but felt super daring at the time.  I hiked to the top of Mt. Jenner in Bertesgarten, Germany.  I was super freaked out by the ski lift that vertically scaled the side of the mountain and was definitely not prepared for snow capped mountains dressed in a hoodie and sneakers.  However, the view at the top made it easily worth it!

• What is your favorite childhood memory? One of my favorite childhood memories is my parents picking me up from the school bus after school and surprising me with an overnight trip to NYC to see Lion King on Broadway for the first time.

   

• What is your favorite hobby? My favorite hobbies are cooking, photography, and golden retrievers.

• If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?  If I could choose to do anything for a day it would be to travel.  Between work and pleasure, I usually travel a lot and can’t wait to get back to my normal travel routine.

• What song would you sing at Karaoke? I’m not sure exactly what it would be, but based on my Spotify history it would definitely be from the musical theatre cannon.
