Getting to Know You: Student Helpers (Part 1)
Today we are featuring our Student Helpers in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”! The student teachers are part of Dance Connection’s Teacher Training Program and student teach in our classes each week.
Dance Connection believes in providing a warm, safe, and professional atmosphere where each student is cared for within the Dance Connection family. We are proud to also offer a Teacher Training Program to our more serious students. It is a forum for students to gain training in teaching as well as job responsibility. Enrollment in our Teacher Training Program will provide members with the highest standard of mentoring and guidance. Dance Connection is strongly committed to enriching and nourishing the future teachers and citizens of our community. Regardless of your future career path, Dance Connection feels confident that all members of the Teacher Training Program will leave our program having learned the important life skills of: respect, responsibility, accountability, discipline, confidence, and professionalism.

- What is your favorite style of dance and why? My favorite style of dance is ballet. The reason I like ballet is because it is such a beautiful style of dance.
- Top three songs on your playlist? The top three songs on my playlist are: Sorry Not Sorry, Girl Party and No Tears Left to Cry.
- If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? The three apps I would keep are: SnapChat, YouTube and Roblox.
- Which Disney character is most like you and why? The Disney character most like me is Ariel because we both love to swim.
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would you go and why? If I could visit any place in the world, I would choose Paris so that I could see The Eiffel Tower.
- What has the teacher training program taught you? The Teacher Training Program has taught me to not be so shy and to be more out going.

- What is your favorite style of dance and why? My favorite style of dance is jazz because I love how upbeat and happy it is. I feel my best when I’m doing a jazz dance.
- Top three songs on your playlist? The top 3 songs on my playlist are “Memories” by Maroon 5, “Lipgloss” by Lil Mama, and “Like a Rodeo” by Kane Brown.
- If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? The 3 apps I would keep on my phone if I could only keep 3 would definitely be Tik Tok, YouTube, and Pic Collage.
- Which Disney character is most like you and why? A Disney character that is most like me would be Pocahontas because she is brave and stands up for what she believes in.
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? If I could visit any place in the world I would go to California because a lot of my favorite Youtubers live there, and I would want to meet them. I also love Disney so much that I would love to go to Disneyland there!!
- What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program is teaching me responsibility, accountability, and is really showing me how much work goes into being a dance teacher as well as how much fun it can be.

- What is your favorite style of dance and why? My favorite style of dance is contemporary because it helps me express my feelings and takes me out of my comfort zone.
- Top three songs on your playlist? Bad Guy by Billie Eilish, Beautiful People by Ed Sheehan, and Memories by Maroon 5.
- If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? I would keep music, messages, and FaceTime.
- Which Disney character is most like you and why? The Disney character that is most like me would have to be Tigger, because his personality is just so bouncy and he’s full of energy.
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would you go and why? I would love to go Paris, because everything is so beautiful there and I’ve heard that their food is AMAZING!!!
- What has the teacher training program taught you? The Teacher Training Program has taught me to try my hardest, not be afraid to use my voice, and to treat everyone else with respect and the way that I would want to be treated.

- Which Disney character is most like you and why? Sleepy because I’m always tired
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would you go and why? Paris to see the Eiffel Tower
- What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program has taught how to be a positive model.

- What is your favorite style of dance and why? Contemporary – because I can make it my own. The style is endless.

- Which Disney character is most like you and why? Moana – She perseveres through any situation an never gives up.
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would you go and why? Italy- to visit family I have never met.
- What has the teacher training program taught you? It has taught me responsibility, how to work well with others and how to be a good person.

- What is your favorite style of dance and why? My favorite dance style is lyrical contemporary because it lets the dancers show their emotions and it lets you project a story to the audience.
- Top three songs on your playlist? Hard to Find by Tate McRae, Copycat by Billie Eilish, and 11:11 by Tate McRae
- If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? YouTube, Snapchat, and FaceTime
- Which Disney character is most like you and why? The Disney character that most describe me would be, Merida from brave because she voices her opinions and it’s not scare to stand up for herself and others. Merida wants to spread her wings and find her own path in life and that’s exactly what I want to do.
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would you go and why? If I could visit any place in the world, I visit France because I would love to visit all the art museum especially the one with the original Mona Lisa painting and I would also like to go to Amsterdam, Netherlands, one of my favorite books has been the Diary of Anne Frank and because of that I would love to visit the original House that Anne Frank was hiding in during this event.
- What has the teacher training program taught you? The teaching program has taught me to become a responsible independent person. It takes a lot of responsibility to help with the younger students who are still not use to separating from their parents and as a young girl myself I am learning how to separate from my parents and do things that I would probably still ask my parents to help me with independently.

- What is your favorite style of dance and why? I love Tap by far the most because I love the fun recital songs and the fast steps.
- Top three songs on your playlist? Dream by Jo Jo Siwa, Can’t Stop the Feeling from Trolls, and Everyday Pop Stars by Jo Jo Siwa
- Which Disney character is most like you and why? Ariel is most like me because she is mermaid. I love the water and am a good swimmer. She also loves my favorite color- aqua/turquoise.
- If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would you go and why? I would visit Jo Jo Siwa’s house in LA, CA on the way to a trip to Hawaii. In HI I would love to see a volcano & lava.
- What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program has taught me that I love being a role model for little kids & I enjoy teaching. I look forward to my teaching day which is my 5th day a week at Dance Connection.
