Today we are featuring our Student Teachers in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The student teachers are part of Dance Connection’s Teacher Training Program and student teach in our classes each week.

Dance Connection believes in providing a warm, safe, and professional atmosphere where each student is cared for within the Dance Connection family. We are proud to also offer a Teacher Training Program to our more serious students. It is a forum for students to gain training in teaching as well as job responsibility. Enrollment in our Teacher Training Program will provide members with the highest standard of mentoring and guidance. Dance Connection is strongly committed to enriching and nourishing the future teachers and citizens of our community. Regardless of your future career path, Dance Connection feels confident that all members of the Teacher Training Program will leave our program having learned the important life skills of: respect, responsibility, accountability, discipline, confidence, and professionalism.

Allison Bradley

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is Contemporary hip hop because it can be very slow and controlled but also is a lot of fun and upbeat.
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? My top 3 songs from my playlists are Magic In The Hamptons, Beautiful people, and Motivation.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? If I had to keep only 3 apps on my phone I would keep message, music and phone.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? I think I am a lot like Skai Jackson from Disney channel because she is very out going and not shy at all.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? If I had a chance to visit any place in the world it would be Paris because it’s always seemed so pretty and fun to go adventure there.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program taught me that I should I always be a good role model for the younger students and that they are always looking up at me.

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is ballet because I always feel so free and open and relaxed, I can let all my emotions go in a nice flowing movement.
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? My top three songs on my playlist is: Beautiful people by Ed Sheehan feat. Khalid,  Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, Cruise by Florida Georgia Line.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? The three apps I’d keep would have to be Snapchat, TIK tok, and Instagram.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? The Disney princess I’m most like would have to be Snow White. We both have big hearts and sweet tempers which makes it very easy for us to make friends, we have lots of best friends and love making others happy.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? I would want to visit the Maldives in South Asia and be in a little hut just surrounded by water for a week.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program taught me my true love for kids and seeing their faces every day, how eager they are to learn and how I could carry down my love for dance to them.

Jeanna Diaz

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is Hip-Hop because I like the flow of the movements, and Jazz because I like the upbeat rhythm in combination with the steps. 
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? Writing on the Wall by French Montana, Ransom by Lil Tecca, and Lost in Japan by Shawn Mendes.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? The 3 apps I would keep are Apple Music, Snapchat, and Sand Balls.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? Pascal from Tangled because he says a lot through his facial expressions, just like me.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? I would love to visit Hawaii because it looks so pretty and its a different type of tropical than the Caribbean.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? It has taught me how to lead and be responsible with  your job and duties. 

Ashley Flyntz

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite type of dance is jazz because there are many styles within it and it’s generally very upbeat.
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? My top three songs are American Teen by Khalid, Sun-kissed by Khai Dreams and I love You by Billie Eilish.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? If I could only keep three apps on my phone, they would be Spotify, tik tok and Snapchat.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? My favorite Disney character is Moana because we both love the beach and adventures.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? If I were to visit any place in the world it would be Thailand because it’s very far and looks really pretty.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? The teaching training program has taught me how to speak up and be a leader.

Samantha Gut

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is contemporary because you express strong feelings throughout the dance.
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? Chillin like a Villain – Descendants 2, It’s Goin’ Down – Descendants 2, and Idol – BTS.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? Instagram, Tik Tik, and Netflix.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? The Disney character that is most related to me is Olaf beacuse he is outgoing and is funny.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? I would visit Hawaii because it is a beautiful and relaxing place to visit.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program has taught me confidence and leadership outside of dance.

Melissa Kinnear

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is ballet because it’s very relaxing for me and it’s a good change of pace after a long day.
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? My top three songs on my playlist are Fly me to the moon by Frank Sinatra, Stay by Rhianna and Circles by Post Malone.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? I would keep Snapchat, Instagram and Google Classroom.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? I am mostly alike to Rapunzel because we are both adventurous, very sociable and care about others.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? If I could visit anywhere in the world it would be Scotland because I would like to travel somewhere that’s not tropical, also the geography is very pretty.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? Something the teacher training program taught me is how to balance my crazy life. With being a junior in high school, things get very stressful and chaotic. Being a teacher here has taught me how to keep all my activities and work in order and how to give everything the attention it needs, without putting everything off balance.

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is jazz. Particularly musical theater because of the different characters you can portray.
    
2. Top three songs on your playlist? If I Can’t Have You by Shawn Mendes, Lovey by Billie Eilish, and Burn by Ellie Goulding.
   
3. Which Disney character is most like you and why? Moana because no matter the obstacle she never gives up.
   
4. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why? Paris to see the Eiffel tower and go to Disneyland Paris.
   
5. What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program has taught me responsibility and discipline.

Dejia Solomon

1. What is your favorite style of dance and why?  My favorite style of dance is ballet because the music calms me and I feel like that’s my best style.
   
2. Top three songs on your playlist? Staring at the Sun by Post Malone, Megatron by Nicki Minaj, and Hot Girl Bummer by Blackbear.
   
3. If you had to delete all but three apps from your phone, which three apps would you keep? Spotify, Youtube, and Netflix.
   
4. Which Disney character is most like you and why? Tinker bell because we both get mad easily but are good friends.
   
5. If You Could Visit Any Place In The World Where Would It Be And Why?  Greece because I’ve always wanted to go to Europe and the pictures look so beautiful.
   
6. What has the teacher training program taught you? The teacher training program has not only taught me how to be responsible but it’s taught me how to work well with kids.
