This year it is more urgent than ever for us to do what we can as a community to help those in need. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused many in our own community to struggle to make ends meet, and to be able to provide some holiday joy to their families. Though we may not be able to do everything that we usually do to give back to our community this year, Dance Connection has two projects that we know we can use to make a difference for our neighbors in need.

Giving Tree – Our Giving Tree is up and ready for people to select items to donate to brighten the holidays for local families. A long-standing tradition in our studio, this year we have provided a way for our DC families to participate digitally to make sure everyone is as safe as possible while spreading holiday cheer to those in need. We understand the current financial challenges people are facing and your generosity is just amazing.

We are also planning to have our Step Into Christmas holiday spectacular as well. Due to occupancy restrictions live attendance will be very limited, but we are offering a way to bring the holiday magic into the comfort of your home! Step Into Christmas is a heartwarming story of love, family, and the true meaning of the holidays with dance performances to some of your favorite Christmas music as well as some new numbers as well. The performance raises funds to support the vital work of Gavin’s Got Heart, a charity that supports the families of local children with genetic heart defects. They provide financial support, transportation, and other assistance to make it easier for families to focus on the health and welfare of their kids.
