It’s Time for Our Dads to Shine!!!
Written by Erin Sforza on February 23, 2018

We are edging ever closer to this years recital! On March 1st at 6:00pm all of our Dads (or brothers, boyfriends, and significant others) are welcome to sign up to be a part of this year’s Dad’s Company!

Our Dad’s Company performance is easily the most anticipated performance at the recital (outside of everyone’s own star dancer of course!) and has always been a ton of fun to watch. If you ask our Dad’s Company Alumni it’s also a lot of fun to participate in.

Dad’s Company participants have been tap-dancing cowboys, manly “Men In Tights”, sang about “Greased Lightning”, and have shown off their “Tight Pants” last year in a number where their kids were able to join them on stage! Throughout the years many of our dads have also been on stage at the finale to receive a well-earned trophy for 4, 7, 10, or even 15 years of participation.

Miss Mary is the Dad’s Company choreographer and teacher, and they have rehearsals once a week for 1 1/2 hours and leading up to Dress Rehearsal Week there may be an extra rehearsal or two in order to make sure everything is ready for recital. Dad’s Company will also have a set dress rehearsal time at Holy Trinity. Dad’s Company performs at every recital, so that would mean 3 performances total, and they do have to purchase their costume but there is no fee for the classes. That’s right, free dance classes with Miss Mary and a great bunch of guys, lots of laughs and the absolute adoration of the recital audiences and most importantly your dancer and family!

If you are ready to be a part of this much loved recital tradition, click here to sign up! We’re looking forward to seeing all of our studio dads for another awesome year!
