Spirit Week is fast approaching and it is definitely one of my favorite times of year at Dance Connection. I love being able to celebrate our studio and our students and staff!

If you’ve never experienced it, you are definitely in for some fun surprises! The whole studio is decked out in the DC colors (Pink, Blue, and Black) and so is the staff! Crazy clothes, make-up, and hair are everywhere you look and everyone, parents included, are invited to join in the fun! You’ll want to be in as crazy a combination of our studio’s colors as possible because your class will be competing to be the class with the most DC Spirit!

Every class will take a funny and creative class picture that we’ll put up in an album on our Facebook page, and the class photo with the most “likes” by the deadline wins the title of “Most DC Spirit” and a prize! We’ll also be having daily DC Trivia questions which can win you prizes as well and some other fun ways to participate and share your Dance Connection Pride on social media. Every student will also get a surprise gift for being such an important part of our DC family.

The best part about the whole week is being able to step back and really appreciate how lucky we are to have the students and staff that we do, and to celebrate having a fun, positive place to come to share our passion for dance. You should be able to find plenty of crazy combinations of clothing and dance wear at home, but if you’re looking for crazy accessories for your hair, or glitter stickers for your cheeks, I’ve always been able to find some great stuff at the dollar store and party supply stores without going too crazy as far as spending. Of course you can always splurge on that bright pink spiky wig if you wanted too!
