Mr. Joe Presents at the Energize 2019 Conference

This past week from August 16th – 18th Our Miss Mary, our Artistic Director, and Mr. Joe, Dance Connection’s Marketing Director and Production Manager was in Chicago at the Energize 2019 “Tools for Studio Success” conference. This conference brings together dance studio professionals from all over the world for training seminars, panels, and networking events that allow them to share, learn, and improve how they run their studios and to help others in their industry to do the same.

Mr. Joe was there to learn, but also to present for the 3rd year in a row! This year he presented “Front Desk Management Like A Rockstar” which helped studio owners and studio staff learn ways to organize, streamline, and develop systems to keep their front desk working smoothly and consistently throughout the dance year, “6 Ways to Simplify Your Recital Program Ads” helping studios to put together program ad packages that were both easy for their studio families to understand and purchase as well as how to use web platforms to make the process as easy as possible. He also was a co-presenter for “Website Audit Lab” which helped studios to see their websites through the eyes of first-time dance families in order to improve the experience for them and make sure all necessary info was easy to find.

The weekend conference also offered opportunities to network with other studio owners and staff over dinners and participate in panel discussions on various other topics.

“It was a pleasure to represent Dance Connection and be invited back to the Energize to teach studio owners and dance teachers from across North America, as well as have the opportunity to network with so many other industry dance professionals and share stories, ideas, and passion with them.”

Erin Sforza

Erin is the Public Relations Coordinator for Dance Connection. She studied dance from childhood through college and continues to be an active member of the Long Island theatre community. Erin received a BA in both Musical Theatre Performance and History from the University of Tampa, and has utilized aspects of both degrees working in the hospitality industry, as an Event Coordinator for the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, and as the PR/Marketing Coordinator and Group Sales Coordinator for the CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale. In addition to being a part of the Dance Connection staff, she is a Travel Consultant affiliated with MouseEarVacations.com and CruisingCo.com.
