Our Staff Reveal Their Favorite Part of Recital Week
It has got to be one of the busiest weeks for our studio, but somehow everyone is able to find their favorite part of Recital Week. My favorite part of recital week is the traditions that our family has developed over the years including our end of recital “victory dance” to celebrate another successful production, or the Friday night set-up of the lobby that was my family’s first introduction to Dance Connection.
Since this year is a celebration of everything Dance Connection, I asked our staff what their favorite part of recital week was, and you can check out their answers below!
Miss Ava
I love watching the dances “come to life” at dress rehearsal! While I enjoy watching the dances in the studio, it’s even more exciting to see them on stage with full costumes, lighting, and props.
Miss Jenn
I would say my favorite part of recital week is when the preschool and combo dancers finally get to wear their costumes and their make up and they are just so excited to show their teachers how beautiful they are!
Miss Donna
I have two favorite things about recital week. First is seeing the parents at dress rehearsal, so proud of their kids, no matter what age. Seeing the love and pride in their eyes is so heartwarming! As a mom of a dancer, I can totally relate. Second are the cheers of an audience during the show. For a performer, there’s nothing better! Cheers to 30 years!
Miss Molly
I enjoy seeing the recital come alive, with sound, lights, scenery and the costumes!
Miss Melissa
My favorite thing about recital week is seeing all of my student’s hard work come together. I love watching their faces smile with happiness and excitement.
Miss Victoria
I love watching the dances come alive on stage with the costumes and lighting.
Miss Tara
One thing I really enjoy about recital week is the energy and excitement that not only the dancers exude, but also the family members!
Miss Melinda
Seeing the dances come to life with the costumes, scenery, and lighting.
