Photo & Video Questions Answered
Written by Erin Sforza on May 9, 2019

Part of what makes recital so special is the memories that we create both on stage and watching our little stars shine. A great way to keep those memories for years to come and share them with your family is to have the videos and photos of these fantastic performances to keep. Dance Connection has made it so much easier to do just that! Below are some answers to common questions about photography and video for recital.

  • Are we able to take our own photos/videos of the performance? You are only able to record and photograph your dancer on Dress Rehearsal Week. Photography or video recording of any kind at the recital performance is strictly prohibited. You won’t have to worry about taking a video of your dancer because the performance is being recorded in HD and will be available for you to download after the performance as part of your recital costume purchase! You can relax and just enjoy the show!
  • How do I get the video after recital? You will receive an email with a link that directs you to our website. You’ll see all of the available recital numbers.

You can select a recital number and it will show you all of the photos available. You can download the video here as well as the class photo, which are included in your recital cost.

When you select the individual photo of your dancer, you will be given options for ordering prints and other items with your dancer’s photo.

After you make your selections you will be prompted to add your shipping and payment info. You can also select the Edit option to crop or make changes to your photos here as well.

You will receive your photos in a couple of weeks directly to your home, and you can share the class photo and video immediately with family and friends!

  • Can I have photos taken of my Terrific Twos dancer, or photos of my dancers together (siblings, friends, etc.)? Due to time constraints and the large number of recital dances to photograph we are unable to offer photos of Terrific Twos dancers or have sibling/family/friend photos posed during recital week photo calls.

We hope that this gives you all the information you need about recital photos and videos, but if there is anything we missed please come visit us at the Reception Desk, give us a call or contact us by email or on social media. We’re here to help you!
