Let’s See Your DC Spirit!!!
It’s a big year for us at Dance Connection, because this is our 10th Annual Spirit Week! We are so excited to see everyone all decked out in their DC colors of pink, blue, purple, and black with their crazy outfits and hair! Here are some tips for first time Spirit Week celebrators:
- Bring on the COLOR!!!: Take those DC colors and make them your own! Mix and match crazy patterns, layer long socks, tutus, shirts, whatever fills you with DC Spirit!!
- Accessories bring the fun: Don’t be afraid to rock that awesome cowboy hat, or 12 bows, 25 clips, blinking necklaces, bracelets, anything you think will give your outfit some extra POP!
- The HAIR!!!!: Give it some (temporary!!!) color, crazy day-glow extensions, multiple braids/buns, or even an electric pink wig! Wait until you see what our teachers and staff do to their hair!
Remember – you don’t need to buy anything extra to have fun during Spirit Week, you can look around your room and house for pieces of old costumes, outfits, and crazy fun accessories that you may already have. If you’re wondering where to look for fun accessories, party stores have lots of fun, colorful, and not too expensive items.
We are going to be having trivia contests on our social media channels so make sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and watch for the studio-wide contest to see which class has the most DC Spirit. We’ll be uploading pictures onto an album on our Facebook page and the class photo with the most “likes” wins so get the word out and show us that DC Spirit!!!
