In Step With DC
We Are Studio Safe™
Written by Erin Sforza on octubre 14, 2021

As the situation regarding Covid-19 continues to evolve, so do our precautions that Dance Connection has put into place to keep everyone safe here in the studio. We thought this would be a good time to revisit the policies currently in place for this dance year.

As part of our Studio Safe™ program, our teachers and staff make sure to sanitize all props used in classes after each use and to perform a deep clean of the entire studio nightly. We continue to have non-toxic micro-bacterial sanitizing film on all touchpoints such as door handles and ballet barres, and industrial-grade air purifiers installed throughout the building.

With rising cases and in alignment with NYS Education standards we currently have the following health and safety  policies in place:

  • Face coverings must be worn by all students, teachers, and assistants at all times in classrooms, regardless of vaccination status.
  • For all guests in the lobby: Face coverings are required for all unvaccinated individuals and recommended for vaccinated individuals.
  • The Lobby is now open to wait inside the studio for all age students, however we ask families to limit guests to their immediate family only.
  • Extended family and friends can watch class on our new live stream platform online or via the SpotTV app.  Visit www.lidanceconnection.com/live to sign up.
  • Teachers will give students hand sanitizer at the beginning of each dance class.

As we’ve done since the beginning of the pandemic, we will continue to prioritize dancer and staff safety by implementing reasonable safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines as well as the advice of public health officials. We will be keeping a close eye on trends and guidance and make changes to these policies when it is appropriate either relaxing them or escalating them as needed.

As always, if you have any questions about our Studio Safe procedures, please feel free to contact the studio by phone 631.224.7134, by email at info@lidanceconnection.com, or by stopping at the studio reception desk.
