Why Our Dads Love to Perform
Our Dad’s Company is easily the most anticipated number of the recital (besides your dancer’s of course) and every year we all look forward to seeing what they have in store for us. This crazy-talented and hilarious group of guys never cease to amaze us with their routines. They are taught by our very own Miss Mary, and they have fun the whole way through rehearsals and performances alike.
If you’ve ever wondered what makes our Dads so eager to get up there with their kids and show them how it’s done, we asked a few to tell us why they enjoy it so much.
“I loved the whole concept of hanging out with the Dads and Miss Mary. There were so many laughs and they are a great group of guys.”
Ritchie Flick, Dad’s Company Alumni
“I liked being part of the team and getting to learn how to dance. It was something new and different for me.”
Keith Dill, 2nd year Dad’s Company member
“I liked finding new guys to hang out with, and I love the looks on my girls’ faces when they see the performance.”
Russ Gobetz, 7th year Dad’s Company member
“I do it for my daughters. My oldest was so happy seeing me up there on stage and was so proud of me that I couldn’t consider not doing it. It was also pretty cool getting to dance with her on stage a couple of years ago.”
Jason Sforza, 5th year Dad’s Company member
“It felt like I was a kid again. I like being in a room with a bunch of guys who started out just as uncomfortable as I was and learning to get comfortable and have a good time. I also loved how it made my girls smile.”
Jessie Nesfield, 2nd year Dad’s Company member
“Dad’s company is a fun activity. Hanging out with the other dad’s at practice, and performing for the audience at the recital is fantastic! It is also great that I get to share in what my wife and daughter love to do.”
Lou Civitella, 11th year Dad’s Company member
