Today we are featuring Miss Ava in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

●   What is your favorite thing about teaching dance? My favorite thing about teaching dance is being able to share my love of dance with my students.

• What’s the most daring thing you’ve done? I’m not a daring person, so this is a hard one! I think the most daring thing I’ve done is indoor skydiving at our last DC staff party!
• What is your favorite childhood memory? My favorite childhood memory is my first trip to Walt Disney World. I got to experience the parks with my mom and a childhood friend, and we had an incredible time.
• What is your favorite hobby? Running! I like to run because it’s a mental and physical activity. I’m setting new goals and finding joy in the journey to accomplishing them. My current goal is to complete my first full marathon!
• Who was your favorite dance teacher when you were a child, and why? I started dancing here at Dance Connection. The DC staff has become my second family, so it’s way too hard to choose just one! Out of the current teaching staff, I’ve had the pleasure of having Miss Mary, Miss Melinda, Miss Donna, Miss Jenn, and Miss Victoria at some point throughout my years as a DC dancer, and I’ve learned something from each and every one of them.
• What song would you sing at Karaoke? I’m not a Karaoke singer, but I enjoy listening to Broadway show tunes in my car!
