Getting to Know You: Mr. Nick!
Written by Joe Naftal on enero 12, 2021

Today we are featuring Mr. Nick in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

  • Why do you love teaching dance?  I love teaching dance because dance is literally my most favorite thing in the known universe and watching my students get better and learn new skills or tricks and watching them grow is feeling that I can’t express in the any language.  Seeing them become true dancers is just breathe-taking and I couldn’t imagine my life without the opportunity to watch those kids grow up.
  • What is an accomplishment you’re most proud of?  The accomplishment I’m most proud of is getting hired by Visions Contemporary Ballet Company because that was my first professional dance experience and working with such amazing dancers and such a experienced choreographer as Ranardo was a wonderful learning experience and truly some of the best months of my life.
  • Who is your hero and why?  My hero would have to be my dad, Gene Sartori.  My dad overcame alcoholism and made a six figure salary all because he wanted nothing more than to be in mine and my sibling’s lives.  Even after being diagnosed with progressive relapse multiple sclerosis he never stopped trying to give us the best lives any kid could ask for.
  • If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?  If I could eat one meal for the rest of life it would have to be mac’n cheese for sure.
  • What do you do in your spare time?  In my spare time I watch the same three television shows over and over and over.
  • What’s your favorite vacation spot?  My favorite vacation spot would have to be Sienna, Italy.  It’s a small, quiet college town in Tuscany with access to the rest of the beautiful country and I would love to retire there one day.
