In Step With DC
5 Ways We’re Celebrating Our 30th Anniversary
Written by Erin Sforza on October 23, 2018

This is a very exciting year for us at Dance Connection, as we celebrate 30 Years of fantastic dance education and performance. We making sure to find ways to make this year special for our families and students and here are a few of my favorites!

  • We welcomed our DC Alumni for our first Alumni Reception this past August. It was so nice to reminisce about all of the wonderful memories we’ve made together as a studio, and to see how far the studio has come from the very first recital to last year’s amazing performance! We are hoping to welcome Alumni members at this year’s recital as well.
  • We are re-visiting our favorite Recital Dances! Our teacher’s chose their favorite performances from our 30 years of recitals to put together this year’s All-Star line-up. One of the most popular numbers being revived is the award-winning precision tap performance “Walkin’ on Sunshine”. Auditions to be a part of this challenging and impressive piece will be happening in the Spring!
  • Recital Company will be a crowd favorite as well, and we cannot wait to announce it! If you’ve been thinking about becoming a part of the Recital Company, this year’s production will be a really special first experience!
  • We will have a brand new performance this year that we are so happy to be able to bring to our community. The details will be coming soon, and it will give our whole Dance Connection family the chance to participate! We will be raising money for a very worthy local charity as well which makes it even more special!
  • We’ll be having a 30th Anniversary Trivia Contest, and are working on making this year’s Spirit Week extra special too!

This 30th year for Dance Connection promises to be one of our best yet! We are so happy that we can share this exciting and special time with all of our student, DC families, and alumni!
