6 Signs That It’s Recital Season
Written by Erin Sforza on May 23, 2019

If you’ve been around the studio lately you’ve probably noticed its been getting very busy! We are less than a month away from recital and there are some ways to tell that it’s almost showtime.

  • Costumes are going home. Make sure if they have a tutu they’re being hung upside down so they will be show ready!
  • Classes are taking “field trips” where they perform for each other to get used to having an audience.
  • The classroom mirrors are being covered for our students to get a feel for performing without that instant feedback.
  • There are stars being filled out, t-shirts being handed out and flowers being ordered.
  • Props and scenery are being touched up and brought into class at times.
  • The teachers and staff are busy putting together the recital gift bags and setting up for Dress Rehearsal Week and our Recital Company is working hard on the show’s opening number.

There is a lot going on right now that only happens at recital time, and it makes this time one of the most exciting of the year. What recital signs have you seen around the studio?
