Jazz, Hip Hop

Arial is going into her 25th year at Dance Connection. She has been dancing with us since the age of 4 and teaching here for the past 12 years. She is known for her unique dance skills, technique, choreography, and talent as a dancer in ballet, tap, many styles of jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, hip-hop, and acrobatics.

Arial continues to attend master classes, workshops, and conventions such as NYC’s Dance Teacher Summit, Broadway Dance Center where she trains with many world renowned teachers including So You Think You Can Dance choreographers, well known choreographers and Broadway directors.

She was a dance-off winner at “Jet Nightclub” in Las Vegas, where she competed against hundreds of hip hop dancers from across the country. She has auditioned for “Making the Band 3” and “American Idol.” In addition to her dance training, she has a strong background in singing and acting. She was a senior company member at the Long Island Performing Arts Academy for 5 years, where she played “Velma” in CHICAGO.

Her choreography has been recognized at regional and national dance competitions. In 2009 her piece, “Chemical Calisthenics”, took home first place and highest overall score. In 2012, “Outta Yo Mind” has won in the choreography showcase. More recently in 2014, “Mr.Postman” won first place in the Dancers Inc Choreography Showcase and this past year our soloist Emily, consistently won first place and a title award for “Mi Confesion” with Arial’s choreography. Arial has choreographed for our Ducks performance team for the past 7 years as well as choreographed numerous Sweet 16 performances and Quinceaneras. She has performed in the heart of Disney World as well as choreographed many entertaining dances for our Disney performances.

Arial studied child psychology and graduated from the Sanford Brown Institute for Medical Coding. On top of dedicating her life and career to the art of dance, Arial is also Mommy to her 9 year old daughter Briella, who also dances at Dance Connection, and 3 year old son Lorenzo.
