Frequently Asked Questions
Ballet is a classical dance form known for its grace, precision, and discipline. It builds strong technical foundations that benefit all other dance styles, emphasizing posture, alignment, control, and expressive movement.
We offer ballet classes for dancers starting at age 7, with programs that progress through beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels for both recreational and serious dancers.
Ballet provides a strong technical base that supports many dance styles, like jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. It builds:
Balance, strength, and flexibility
Body awareness and alignment
Musicality and control
Discipline and artistry
No experience is necessary for beginner ballet classes. We place dancers by age and ability to ensure they feel confident and challenged appropriately.
Female students wear black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes (no socks). A ballet skirt may be worn; however, the length may not pass the knee. Shoes should fit snugly. Male students wear black dance pants, plain white T-shirt, and black ballet shoes. Ballet shoe ties should be tucked in.Â
Yes! Ballet dancers have the exciting option to participate in our annual June recital. It’s a fun and confidence-building experience, but completely optional. Costumes are ordered in December, and recital tickets go on sale in May. Whether or not your child performs, they’ll still enjoy a full season of joyful movement and learning.
