All Boy’s Hip Hop is an explosive, funky dance style that combines memory, coordination, rhythm, and loads of energetic fun! It serves as a great introduction to dance in a supportive, boys-only environment, encouraging confidence and teamwork.

Donna Iaboni

Director, Studio Operations

Donna joined the Dance Connection staff in 1992. Her dance training and teaching experience consists of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe, Hip Hop and Acro. Donna spent many years involved in multiple Long Island theaters performing in shows such as “Sweet Charity”, “Guys and Dolls”, and “Chicago”. She also spent 2 years as an apprentice with the Martha Meredith Dance Co., and auditioned for the world famous Radio City Rockettes. Donna is currently one of our recital and competition company teachers and has choreographed regional and national award winning dances. She has danced and choreographed for performances in Walt Disney World, Las Vegas, aboard a Norwegian Cruise Line ship, and with world renowned choreographers and dancers. Donna has enjoyed dancing since the age of 10 and teaching for almost 40 years. Donna continues to educate herself with teacher workshops, books and seminars to stay current and fresh for her students to receive the most up to date styles and training. Donna is a proud member of IADMS, The International Assoc for Dance Medicine and Science which provides teachers and other professionals in the field with expertise on stretching, injury prevention, nutrition, hyper mobility, and more.  She is thrilled to have shared most of her life with her DC family! Miss Donna loves teaching alongside her daughter, Miss Brooke-Ashley.

Megan Campisi

Dance Teacher

Megan joined the Dance Connection family in 1999. She danced at Dance Connection for 16 years, had the pleasure of being in the recital company for 11 years, competed on the competition team for 12 years, and was a student helper for 7 years. She has had the privilege performing on a two cruise ships during her time with the competition team, performed twice at Walt Disney World, LI Ducks Stadium, and the Islip Street Fair. With her Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Megan brings a dynamic blend of experience and passion to the dance industry at DC. Her professional journey has included roles as a Studio Experience Member, Social Media Associate, and Associate Teacher—each one refining her skills in communication, creativity, and community engagement. Now stepping into a new chapter as a Dance Teacher, Megan is excited to teach her favorite style—hip hop—to the next generation of young dancers.

Boys’ Hip Hop is a high-energy, rhythm-based dance class designed specifically for boys. It focuses on freestyle movement, musicality, confidence, and the fundamentals of hip hop dance in a fun and supportive environment.

Our Boys’ Hip Hop program is open to boys ages 6 and up, with beginner-friendly classes.

Not at all! Boys’ Hip Hop at Dance Connection is perfect for first-time dancers. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to move, learn, and have fun.

In Boys’ Hip Hop, dancers will develop:

  • Rhythm, coordination, and body control

  • Freestyle and choreographed movement

  • Confidence and stage presence

  • Musicality and creative expression

  • A supportive sense of teamwork and self-discipline

  • Comfortable athletic-style clothing (t-shirt, shorts, or sweatpants)

  • Clean sneakers used only for class (no street shoes on the studio floor)

  • Hair should be pulled away from the face

Yes! Boy's Hip Hop dancers have the exciting option to participate in our annual June recital. It’s a fun and confidence-building experience, but completely optional. Costumes are ordered in December, and recital tickets go on sale in May. Whether or not your child performs, they’ll still enjoy a full season of joyful movement and learning.
