Not at all! Boys’ Hip Hop at Dance Connection is perfect for first-time dancers. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to move, learn, and have fun.

In Boys’ Hip Hop, dancers will develop:

  • Rhythm, coordination, and body control

  • Freestyle and choreographed movement

  • Confidence and stage presence

  • Musicality and creative expression

  • A supportive sense of teamwork and self-discipline

  • Comfortable athletic-style clothing (t-shirt, shorts, or sweatpants)

  • Clean sneakers used only for class (no street shoes on the studio floor)

  • Hair should be pulled away from the face

Yes! Boy's Hip Hop dancers have the exciting option to participate in our annual June recital. It’s a fun and confidence-building experience, but completely optional. Costumes are ordered in December, and recital tickets go on sale in May. Whether or not your child performs, they’ll still enjoy a full season of joyful movement and learning.
