You may have noticed that there is no shortage of inspiration on the walls at our Studio. In fact, the door to Miss Mary’s office is completely covered in words of wisdom and inspiration. That’s because our Artistic Director, Miss Mary Naftal is a firm believer that a positive attitude is the most important part of any dancer’s skill set. A positive attitude can be the difference between achieving your goals not only in dance but in life as well, which is why Miss Mary and all of our teachers at Dance Connection work as hard as possible to instill a positive attitudes in the dancers they teach.

I was able to ask Miss Mary out of all the inspirational words that decorate the studio walls, which were her favorite and why? Here are her answers:

“Most every quote around the studio has at least something to do with a positive attitude or positive outlook. I am a firm believer that Positive Attitude = Positive Life! Here are a few of my (many) favorites:

• “Behind every dancer who believes in themselves is a dance teacher who believed in them first.”
• “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.”
• “Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts and positive results will happen.”
• “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
• “Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much.”
• “I do not try to dance better than anyone else, I only try to dance better than myself.”
• ” Wake up every day with a grateful heart.”
