Joe has been involved in Dance Connection in various ways throughout his entire life! In the early years it was taking dance classes and anxiously looking forward to being the “announcer” of the recital each year. Today, Joe is responsible for managing company operations in a dual role as the studio’s Marketing Director and Production Manager. When not working at Dance Connection, Joe has a career as a theatrical lighting designer, assistant designer, and production manager for theatre, dance, opera, and themed entertainment.  In addition to his work at Dance Connection, Joe wrote a book on Recital Production that has been published in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, and serves as the CEO for the Penny Prima® brand of products and licensed programs. He has taught seminars for dance studio owners from across the world for the Dance Teacher Summit, the Energize Conference, the UDMA Dance Teacher Expos, and the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and DanceStudioOwner.com, and has been featured several times in the business section of Dance Teacher Magazine.  He serves on the Board of Directors of CM Performing Arts Center and Robin Becker Dance and as an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University and Nassau Community College.  Joe holds a BFA from UNC School of the Arts and is a proud member of United Scenic Artists (USA829) and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
