Recital Health & Safety Protocols
Below are the health & safety protocols that will be in place for our 2021 recital. The safety of all of our dancers, families, volunteers, and staff is our top priority.
In accordance with NYS performing arts event guidelines, performers will be permitted to perform without masks while socially distant on stage. However, masks are required at all other times.
Beginning May 3, dancers will wear masks during class and will be permitted to remove masks during the portion of class while rehearsing for the recital dance, in order to practice dancing without a mask and using facial expressions. Choreography is optimized to ensure social distancing. Masks must be worn at all other times in class and inside the building. Students are permitted to keep their masks on while rehearsing the recital dance if they prefer. Teachers and staff will keep masks on at all times.
Spectator Limit: Families are limited to 2 adult and 2 sibling guests at dress rehearsals.
Arrival: All dancers and staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival to dress rehearsal.
Class & Individual Photos: Each class will take a class photo. Dancers will be masked for class photos. For individual photos, dancers will be permitted to take off their mask while having their individual photo taken.
Stage Rehearsal: Dancers will be permitted to remove their masks directly before entering the outdoor open-air stage for their rehearsal. We will have a team right offstage keeping masks organized, separated, and safe. Masks must be put back on once exiting the stage. Dancers may perform with their mask on if they prefer.
Staff & Audience: All staff members and audience members will keep masks on at all times.
Arrival & Pickup: All dancers and staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival to the recital. Parents will be given a barcoded Parent Pickup Pass when dropping off their dancer. This card must be shown at pickup at the end of the show.
