Last month we finally saw the lights begin to come back up on Broadway, and it was a truly welcome sight for anyone who loves performing or loves getting to watch the world’s best performers do what they were meant to. Live theater and dance can make us happy, break our hearts, and inspire us in ways that nothing else can. As performers, Broadway means a lot to most of us, so we thought that we’d share some of our Broadway favorites with you! For me, I can definitely say that the first time I saw Les Miserables on Broadway, I knew that I wanted to learn everything I could about performing! My best Broadway memory was seeing All Shook Up because I am a huge Elvis fan! I’m happy that families can enjoy Broadway shows together again.
My favorite Broadway memory was when I went to see Chicago on Broadway with my mom, Miss Donna! Earlier that year I had trained at the studio with Michael Cusumano, a Broadway dancer in Chicago, who had taught us the Chicago choreography. We even got to see Mikey after the show.
When I went to see Cats for the first time with my aunt, my favorite cat came over to me when they danced throughout the audience. The best part of Broadway re-opening will be taking my daughter back to see shows!
My favorite Broadway memory is seeing Bette Midler in Hello Dolly. The best part of Broadway re-opening is all live theater employees are back at work again. I’m excited to experience the energy of live theater again!
My favorite Broadway memory had to be when I went to my first show, it was to see Mary Poppins. My favorite part about the reopening of Broadway is being able to go and see live performances again.
My favorite Broadway memory is bringing my daughter Miss Emily to see her first Broadway show Beauty and the Beast. She was 3 years old, and that was her favorite Disney movie. She sat mezmorized for the whole show and during intermission kept asking when it was going to start again. It was a great day and one of many days that we shared together at a Broadway show. The best part of Broadway re-opening is seeing live theatre again, there is nothing like the energy you get from being able to see it live. The singing, dancing, acting, costumes, and sets draw you in and you become part of the story.
My best Broadway memory was getting to meet some of the cast of “Chicago after going to see Michael Cusumano, a dance friend who was in the show.
My favorite Broadway memory was going to see Wicked for the first time, the theater and show were truly breathtaking. It's such exciting news that Broadway is re-opened, oh how I have missed live theater!
