Today we are featuring our Miss Tara, in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

What is your hometown? Manorville, NY

Why did you start working at Dance Connection?  I started working at dance because I was spending so much time at the studio. My daughter is on the Competition-Performance Team, takes multiple classes, and is also a part of the Teacher Training Program. When the opportunity arose I felt it was a perfect fit!

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about my family. For me the best things in life are the people I love, the places we’ve been, and the memories we make along the way. 

What is one thing you want to tell all of our students and/or parents? One thing I would say to all of the dancers and their parents is to enjoy the moments. One day this will all be a distant memory. Give yourself the gift of knowing you will look back on it with happiness and joy. 

In your opinion, what makes dance such a great activity and art form? Dance is such a great art form because it requires discipline, creativity, strength and grace all at the same time. It requires athleticism and promotes confidence. So many things that can come out of just moving across the floor to music. 

College and Major? I went to St. Joseph’s College and my major was History.

Favorite Color? Dark Purple and Dark Green

Secret Talent?I don’t have any “real” talents but I am always on the quest for happiness!
