Getting to Know You: Miss Lilly!

Today we are featuring our Assistant Teacher, Miss Lilly, in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”!  The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.

What do you do in your free time? I love to catch up on my favorite tv shows or spend time with family.

Do you have any pets? I have 1 cat named jade and a turtle named crush.

What is your favorite song that you’ve danced to?  Welcome to the Jungle

What was the most challenging step you’ve learned? An à la Seconde turn. 

Why do you choose to work at Dance Connection? I love the environment and I always have fun.

What is your favorite movie? Forever My Girl

What is your favorite dance related book?  How to dance forever

What is your favorite inspirational quote? “Shoot for the Stars”

What is your favorite comfort food? Ben and Jerry’s Brownie Fudge Ice Cream

What is your favorite time of year at Dance Connection? Halloween

What is the best advice you can offer to our students or parents? You may not be able to get something right away but if you keep working it can happen and also just enjoy every moment at dance.

Joe Naftal

Joe Naftal is the Marketing Director for Dance Connection. When not working at Dance Connection, Joe has a career as a theatrical lighting designer, assistant designer, and production manager. His experience spans the worlds of classical and contemporary theatre, musicals, ballet, modern dance, and opera. In addition to his work at Dance Connection, Joe collaborates with Dance Studio Owners across the country, is a member of the DanceStudioOwner.com Panel of Experts, has been featured in the business section of Dance Teacher Magazine, and was on the seminar faculty for the 2016 Dance Teacher Summit in New York City. Joe holds a BFA from UNC School of the Arts and is a proud member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE).
