In December 2021, Dance Connection will produce its fourth annual Holiday Show, Step into Christmas: A Musical Holiday Spectacular, by the Boston-based playwright, Colleen M. Hughes.

Which dances should I audition for?
It’s important to audition for as many eligible dances as possible to give yourself as many opportunities for success. Even if you want to challenge yourself with more advanced dances, audition for everything you can so you still have the opportunities for other dances if you don’t make everything.

Auditions
Auditions are open to the Dance Connection community and will be held at the studio Friday, September 10. Please see the breakdown below for specific times.
Casting in these dances will be based on performance at the audition. The choreographers must see that you “have it” at the audition in order to place you in the piece. The choreographers may also have artistic parameters for certain pieces. For example, one choreographer may be looking for dancers of a certain height, while another may be looking for an even number of dancers vs. an odd number. Please note that the casting decisions of the choreographers are final.
Financial Commitment
Rehearsal fees will be charged according to the table below. In addition to this fee, the dancer will also need to rent or purchase a costume (depending on the piece) and any shoes, tights, hair, makeup, or accessories needed. Tickets for the show will be on sale soon!
- Performance Company Tuition will be based on number of dances.
- Holiday Show will be billed September thru November (3 months).

Group B: Fridays 9/17, 9/24, 10/8, 10/17, 10/30, 11/5, 11/19
