Getting to Know You: Miss Erin!
Today we are featuring Miss Erin in our latest edition of “Getting to Know You”! The “Getting to Know You” series helps us get to know each of the Dance Connection teachers and staff we get to see at the studio every week and learn a little bit more about them.
What is your hometown? My hometown is East Islip.
Why did you start working at Dance Connection? I was lucky enough to be asked to step in and help the studio while Mr. Joe would be away at college. I knew the studio had an excellent reputation and was already looking forward to having my daughter start dance classes there, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy working there!
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about taking care of the people around me, whether it’s at home, at the studio, or as a travel consultant I try to make sure that I’m a positive part of the day for people. I also really love Liverpool soccer! 🙂
What is one thing you want to tell all of our students and/or parents? Everyone at this studio is here to support you and your dancer and we take it really seriously. We love to have fun during the year, but we are so grateful that you have trusted us with the dance education of your children, and we want you to have the best experience possible so let us know what you need!
In your opinion, what makes dance such a great activity and art form? Dance brings out the best in you, it is a total emotional release that can make you feel better after a bad day and make the good ones even better. It is beautiful and interesting and challenging in so many ways and it crosses the barriers of language, economics, geography, and so many others to bring people together.
College and Major? I graduated from the University of Tampa with a dual BA degree in Musical Theater and History.
Favorite Color? Blue
Secret Talent? During college I sang a LOT of opera, especially Mozart!
